LMAO. That Classic Bay is exactly what we have and love it. Our power bill was cut in half and use nearly zero oil now.

I feel sorry for the dealers that have to deal with people like that. Perhaps there should be some kind of a test before you can purchase a pellet stove.

I noticed my bill went up by $35 or so per month compared to pre-stove winters. Harman P68, room temp/manual. Figure there is always the fan blowing and I also have a floor fan running a good bit to get heat to the back of the house. Small price to pay for the decreased oil usage though so I certainly won't complain! (electric cost has gone up some as well).

I contributed the higher electric use to the fact was stuck at home and using home appliances more. One ugly winter. Saved on gas for the car though.

;lol;lol;lol
Guy figures he got "taken" by the dealer. Think about it, if you were running a furnace, how much would your electric bill go up due to the blower running on the oil furnace. When we went to the pellet stove, the electric use dropped from the same time as the previous year. Then add the reduced cost for fuel. I'll keep my pellet stove...

My CB1200 is cheaper on electric than my oil fired furnace. Stove 7 amp fuse, furnace 20 amp fuse. Stopping and starting is way more efficient. Continuous run is wasteful, Quad states that. My furnace starts and stops, so does my stove. Running on low is not efficient, poor burn.
I chuckle when they complain about creosote and carbon build up, poor burn. There should never be carbon build up on a vent fan, mine never does, never needs to be cleaned.

Stopping and starting maybe more wasteful than keeping it burning on low. If the temperature drops and you trying to bring the temp up since the whole room is cold requires a whack of energy each time However I do agree a low burn is not efficient for heat transfer..and a dirty burn...

low burn is perfect for heat transfer if you can independently raise your room air blower as it reduces waste heat going out the flue

A few members here have accomplished this by re-wiring the snap disk's source to 120V instead of the control box. When the blower runs, it is always on high. It's a bit to loud for me, though.
Here's a thread discussing the change and another modification to the heat exchangers:

There's also a member who has automated the heat level by re-wiring his Hi/Med/Low switch to a thermostat. I intend to try something similar once this winter ends.

I believe you had previously indicated that you reduced combustion flow. Does this cause an issue with the vacuum switch?

When i reduced my exhaust blower suction to compensate for the reduced feed rate, to get more heat output as you suggested, i noticed instant smoke smell in the room, so i am not sure how your doing this without issues on your testing...
