Thelin Echo auger replacement

Auger motor is now dead for anyone who followed my post yesterday. I am now going debating calling for service or deciding to order and do it myself. A couple questions, can I buy just the auger motor or do I have to buy the entire assembly (auger and motor)? but Im not sure if that is a good deal or not. I am handy with tools etc so I could have a go at it, if it comes as an entire unit I feel I could easily do it. If it comes in small pieces..well not so sure.

Don't know how you found it,but those prices from thelin are what they sell to dealers.You cannot buy direct.The other web site is Don that posts here,tell him you are a member and you might get a discount.
 
Thelin only sells the complete assembly, Multi products used to sell the motor itself but they will not sell to customers any longer. I just replaced the auger motor in my Parlour and finally bought from my dealer. If you go to Thelins website there are how-to's on their that show how to do it, they don't show the Echo but it is the exact same system as on the Gnome and Parlour. Be aware that the price sheet you is dealer cost, they will charge more than what is shown. The price shown by East Coast Hearth is a good price and much less than what some dealers charge.
