what does everyone use to buff up their stove.i have a freestanding steel vf55 and was curious as to what you guys use to keep it looking good.if my memory serves me correct i think it was dexter that used some kind of furniture spray.

i noticed the same thing.dexter,imacman,Jay and smokey have gone amiss.ive recently posted a bunch of stuff about a used quad insert i just picked up and got zero responses.Dexter was the man when it came to the Quads.hope he chimes in soon

JT pokes his head in once in a while. Smokey may be just hibernating. Imacman is def MIA. OMV seems unusually quiet. Prob counting his tonnage.
 
Jay got the UPC thread running but haven't seen much from him. A few of the "veterans" are missing...
 
They went to another forum for various reasons.
 
It's extremely rare to see members here for more than a year or two.....we certainly love those who have stayed forever, but in general people get the knowledge they need, help others, and then move on with life. I never worked out an average, but I'd say 2-3 years is the average for even relatively active members.

It's not really fodder for threads.....because future visitors here will have absolutely no idea what these threads are about, nor to be able to determine their usefulness.

I am always amazed and gratified when I see some of the "old heads" (Xena, for example, has a 2005 date on her "joined" show up!).....

Heck, I've hung around here since 1995 and even I am slowly fading away.....now!
