Southern NH
Anyone buying corn in southern nh? My stove and pipe can handle it, so am curious to try with this pellet shortage. Thanks!

Farmer only gets $14 per hundred for milk. What does your local market charge? :)

That figures out to approx $150 per ton.
I would say that is almost the same price as pellets when all things are considered. You would need to screen field corn and find some storage for it because out of the bin price $4.20) is bulk price.

I have a small gravity box an elevator is 2 miles away. Simple sluice screen takes 40 seconds to screen a bucket. Pellet prices last fall on sale were on sale for $185 but a 45 mile trip so save couple gallons of fuel too. Now the pellets here for the poor grade are $5 a bag and good pine are shy of 6. Bakken crude jacking up prices for pellets because of delivery issues.

Corn prices are regional. new england has always seen higher corn prices. Worse with this longer than usual winter.
