Simple stove. easy to get parts for. Really throws heat well. DOesnt have the bells and whistles some do but it does heat.

Thanks for the info...does the top plate get hot?
And do the pellets feed from the bottom or do they drop in?

Go to ENGLANDER STOVE SITE ,You can get all the info you want there. Look up MODEL 55SHP22.

Pellets feed in from the bottom. On high, the top plate will be too hot to touch, but only a little. I think the highest temps I've recorded coming out of the blower are around 225F. Average pellets will go about 200F. On low, the top is a little over 110F.

That stove probably needs a little care and a good teardown, but it's a good stove model if you don't mind doing your own maintenance. I've burned mine for 5 seasons now, and all that I've needed to replace are gaskets during cleanings and a door gasket. If you keep up with the regular cleanings, it will last you a long time.

Thanks kofkorn...the seller is a stove retailer so more than likely this was a trade in...ad said the stove was serviced and tested. I just wanted a little background in it before hand.
