The Distribution blower just died- naturally on a Saturday night- on my Harman p61a. I can pick one up from Grainger Monday. Question is can I run it until then without the blower? I have a large fan next to it blowing on the stove to distribute the heat it generates.
It is our only heat source.

I'd never attempt it with any stove... the fan will cool the outside but the internal passages where heat exchanges with air will overheat, possibly warp the metal. If it doesnt trigger the high limit shutoff first that is.

Run to walmart and get a kerosene heater or stay at a hotel if that is your only heat source.

That stove is rated to run at lower settings without convection fan being on(fireplace mode).Page 16 of your book.

I did it for a couple of weeks on my Accentra using 2 fans. One was blowing on the outside and the second was a small fan which I placed on the floor blowing air into the intake for the distribution fan. I kept the stove in "stove temp" mode and it did not overheat.

Did you get any blinking lights? I don't believe on the P61 it will feed pellets to overheat as the ESP probe would stop it from overheating. You would just have a big fire and be wasting heat through the exaust and try using fans to get as much heat off it as possible. Not effecient but doable. Harman calls it fireplace mode in the manual.

Don't risk further damage to you stove. Leave it off and switch to another heat source if you have one.

Well, 12+ hours into it the stove is still operating properly as a fireplace. It's a tad cooler but we are okay. By 5:00 tomorrow I'll have the new blower installed.
