P68 - Flame Leaning Towards Glass

Sounds normal to me. I scrape the burn pot whenever I dump in a bag which helps.

Scrape the pot really well and make sure the holes are clear.

I clean my glass once a week with my weekly cleaning. By the time the next cleaning comes, it is 60% covered. After hearing from others, I think it's just par for the course.

I've got a bum igniter on my P-68, and a couple of times recently the stove doesn't ignite until there's a whole lot of pellets in the burnpot. When that happens, all the pellets get consumed at once, and there is a raging fire in there really bulling up against the glass. I've wondered if all that heat and flame would take the glass out, but it never has. So, if your flame is just licking the glass as mine does most of the time, I wouldn't worry. That's pretty tough glass.

My flame never hits the glass but can get relatively close. Scrape the pot and all is good. Usually needs it by then anyway or I forgot that morning.

The PB105 gets its glass window cleaned once a week as does your Englander's. Yup it's about 60% ash and soot covered by the end of seven days. Just normal procedure.
