Does any body know where to get the service manual for a lopi lyden? not the one that comes with the stove. I am looking for the one the techs use for trouble shooting and repairs.
Chris

All the owners manuals for the stoves we sell come with basically all the troubleshooting info in them. I dont have a Hearthstone Heritage wood stove manual thats any different than what comes with the stove. Not sure about the Lopi line though. Like Scott said, whats goin on, maybe one of the pellet heads here can help?

Well it is little issues with the stove I would like to correct. The fisrt one is convection fan blower kicking on and not all the time I run it on med to high. it does not do it all the time stove is clean so i am not sure. the second issue is when I put it on manual it shuts down no flashing light to tell me what the fault is And when it does it I am not home or in he room to see what causes it. I feel both have to do with power issues coming from the control board.

neither. call me and I will guide you through it. Would go back and forth here but my time here is sporadic. Please, if you do call, post the solution I give you. ok?

were you able to get the service manual for a lopi leyden? I have been trying to get one myself. I really need one otherwise I will be getting rid of the stove and replacing it with a different brand other than not sold by Travis Industries. I have only one dealer in my area and the service they provide is not very good.

first search on google gave me a PDF file for the link to the manual.

Richchad, what questions do you have on the Leyden?

There is no specific Leyden troubleshooting service tech manual. It is a generic Travis Industries PDF pellet stove troubleshooting guide. Google and you will find it.

Thanks, I have that manual, doesn't say much. It is the one that comes with the stove. I need to replace the auger bushings and possibly the auger itself, if my local dealer is to believed (they are not too bright and are thieves), I also have to replace the combustion fan. I think I can do the fan, but the auger does not look like an easy job at all. My next option is to get rid of the stove, as it has become a money put. When it works it is great. I was hoping there was something out there.

I have the Travis_pellet_ts_guide.pdf. It's a generic manual but does cover all kinds of T/S and parts replacement.

PM me your email and I will send it. It is 2.8mb

In all honesty I'd say the blower would be harder than the auger motor. The rear sheet metal shell comes off and gives you direct access to the lock ring holding the auger onto the shaft. It may be easier if you remove the convection blower, since its just slides into place. Once the auger is out, there are 4 bolts holding the lower bushing plate in place and its also sealed on there pretty good with some high temp red silicone. Once the auger motor is off the blower is easily accessible. Leave the housing and remove the 6 nuts holding the motor assembly in place. I've replaced a few combustion blowers and auger motors on those stoves. If its flat against the wall it'll be easier than if you have the unit kiddy cornered, however the worst is a hearth mount install. Talk about a PITA!

Rick, thanks again for the PDF, I know that will help very much. SteveG518, thanks also for the information. Mine is kiddy cornered and yes ouch what a pain. I might over the summer just pull it away from the wall do a good cleaning and just replace the auger bearing as it makes an ungodley noise at the same time time replace the convection blower. So once you remove that locking ring the auger shaft will just come out? Thanks again. Rich

Let us know how you make out. I haven't tackled that repair on my Leyden but I did work on my brother-in-laws' Travis industries 900 model and his was fairly simple to do once we got in the back of the stove. His is over 20 years old and runs. My repairs have been limited to really cleaning out the fans and resealing the gaskets, the one on the exhaust air side.

Once the lock ring is off, you can wiggle the auger motor off of the shaft. Then you have great access to the 4 nuts holding the bushing plate one. You'll have to pry it off though because they seal it with some pretty tough silicone!

Don't give up on the Leyden yet. Its a fantastic stove from a great company.

Thanks again for all the help and yes I will let you know how I make out. I will take some pictures as I go along. I am putting my list of needed items before I start, gaskets, bearing and such. Hope to do this over the spring :). Again thank you
