A couple of weeks ago I starting working on splitting my pile o'rounds and found it to be a pain in the butt. The issue is that there's a blend of lengths (A buddy collected these for me so I didn't have anything to do with dumping them). I spent too much time picking through the pile to find the ones that were short to split without cutting. So yesterday I went down and started sorting through the pile and got about halfway done. The "needs to be cut" and the "ready to split" piles are about the same right now. I didn't take any pics of the sorted piles but here's half of I started with. He added more after this pic was taken and the pile was double this when I started.

Oh yeah. He's always looking out for me...well he's stopped until I get all this taken care of since it's behind his house.

This post wasn't meant as a complaint. I don't mind cutting it down to size.

I want it done by the end of summer. It's been there since last summer and some of it's getting punky. I don't know how long it was down before it came into my life.
