Looks like I am done for the season. Sixties forecast as far as the eye can see. I started reloading the shed for next season yesterday and today.

I am ready. I love the burning season but ready for it to end for 4 months. I have other things to do. Wood is split and stacked replacing what I burned this winter, and ready to have some summer fun.

Now that sounds good, but I don't think the little buggers are going to sprout tonight. ;)

Bart I was just thinking the same thing. I'm stacking wood tomorrow as I don't think I'll need much more in the house. We've had some gorgeous weather this week, and I haven't had a fire since Sunday. A month or two of this would not have me complaining at all....

Your not alone. I have a fire right now. Warmed the house from 68 to 82 but letting it burn out till tomorrow night then the same thing again. The wonderful spring shoulder season is here. Can we have winter a little longer please???

I keep thinking I've brought my last loads of wood in the house, then it turns cold again. Luckily I have plenty of wood to burn yet, but I sure am tired of cold starts, going to have to get another box of super cedars next year if this keeps up.

Make sure you put an extra cord on the roof so you don't run out like this year ;).........

Oh Thomas loves me this time of year......I don't scrimp on Super Cedars. They make life so much easier.....If you haven't found Super Cedars, you need to!;)

I actually managed to squeeze everything out of the hog but the squeal and made it through without running completely out. Got chilly in the place a few times. I define chilly as under 71 degrees.

Yeah, I want to put the Dutchwest back in for a trial run....still need another day to get it back together. Couple of nights in the 30s are in the forecast, though.... :)

He may really like me. I just noticed we have two nights that may dip into the thirties. I may burn a half dozen Super Cedars to take the chill off.

Thomas offers a free sample to hearth.com members. I buy a 100 at a time. Haven't split kindling in four years.

I can honestly predict another month before I pull the fires. Maybe, just maybe, three weeks.

I may be over optimistic. I sure hope not. Definitely different than the last two years. Both of them we hit 90 in the first week of April and then it fell back off the cliff. Just in the fifties this year.

Ailmost outta the woods. Going down to 30 tomorrow night. Of course we're having a scout campout <>
