Congrats .. glad I was wrong , shouldn't be a surprise .............. I usually am .........................

Very Nice . Thanks for the update.. Forgot to suggest a pre-burn before delivery.... enjoy your stove

You are ska-rude. The Turman might make it speedo weather in your house and the fine ash and clean burn are setting a high bar for everything to follow. Hold your shop accountable and you'll be good to go. Enjoy!

Hard to believe most dealers don't do a 'pre-burn' to get rid of the paint fumes before doing an install…

Good luck with your stove...

I dont know if most people would want that. I think I would have been rather disillusioned if they had done that for me.

Mine came fresh out of the box upon arrival. There was a scratch of paint about an inch long near top of the hopper I eye balled but the installer didn't give notice. At the end of the install, he whiped out the courtesy can of supplied spray and touched it off. I was a little taken back that there appeared to be no primer on the metal. Anyway, the stove smell I experienced for 2 days was from the silicon gooped on to the the stove pipe exiting the rear of the stove.

Mine came in the box and I unpacked it myself. I wouldn't want it any other way.

Currently listening to the tinkle, tinkle, and huffing paint fumes.

Kaboom, not to get too far off subject here, but how do you like those superior walls? I've got them in my home that was built in '09. I opted to go another foot or two taller, in order to have a nice drop ceiling when I finish the basement.

Hey bonesy. I did the same. Actually built about the same time and we are both in NEPA. Obvioiusly I haven't finished the basement yet. Only issue I've had is some slight movement in one of the walls. I've been keeping my eye on it, but I think it's stabilized. No water in the baseement ever, and we are on a wet plot. I doubt I'd be saying the same if we had block or poured foundation. I'll shoot you a PM.

A dealer that does a pre-burn will not only let the paint cure to eliminate those paint fumes but will also have the chance to make sure your new stove is operating properly before installing it. Not all stoves are perfect right out of the box...

Would you buy a new car that had never been started or had a test drive?

Your logic sounds good for you but the comparison to a car doesn't fly with me. There is no odometer or hour meter on my Harman. If it's been burned before I got it I would consider it used and would want a discount. Just my opinion. The paint issue wasn't a problem for me. I opened the window next to the stove and put a fan in it blowing out for the first 2hours of my stoves active life. No fumes in the house at all.

I agree Ron, After a few hours of man smell from the stove it was all good here also.
If there was an issue they would of still owned it.
Enjoy that thing you will love it
