I'm real skeered.

You should go to woodpellets.com and see their prices. They are way up.

Earlier in the season Lg was priced at $279 a ton. Now they are $294.90 but their spring price is $289.90. RIDICULOUS!

I've got 6 3/4 tons in my basement right now.

No panic here.

sounds like a hard sales pitch. and they have Inferno's on the list - Yikes!

if anything, more pellets will be budgeted for the areas that had shortages, but we might get a warm winter next year and they will get stuck with all those pellets.

Places around here offering pre-buy scheduling for May/June and so far, the schedules seem wide open. I think many people's mindset right now is to not deal with anything related to winter for awhile, coming off the winter we just had.

I don't want to think about pellets once the stove turns off for the season. This is why, I'm staocking up on next year's pellets then I no longer have to think or worry about having enough pellets for next year.

The pellets I get come from BC.....lol

Just looks like shrewd salesmanship to me.

Called our 'go-to' place this AM. Full supply of Lignetics in stock, same price as last year... $209/ton. We'll be there in the AM to stock up ;)

Most Lowes around me now have almost 2000 bag's in stock, time to forget about pellets till Sept.

If the people who use pellets play their game, their will be panic and high prices. If the people who use pellets don't play their game, the prices will be the same as they have been. What's it going to be???? We really steer that boat.

For the last 30 years we as a Americans live for the moments more than planning. (I blame the Cold War) If you want to take back control of the economy as a common person than start saving your money no matter how small it is and be thrifty. When you have something that people want they start kissing your can, so hold back your money and don't worry about the economy it will do fine with out the 5 bucks you put aside every week. Just not in your 401Ks their a joke.

The question is what are the predictions for the next winter? Are these higher prices from a prediction of a repeat of last winter? Or are oil prices are going to go up do to Russia increasing the price of Nat gas prices and the U.S. become a exporter of Nat Gas to Europe? Supply and demand is a mathematical calculation between not only in profit but controlling demand from unnecessarily out striping supply. Like unnecessary panic buying.

Personally pellet prices less than $300 per ton is not over all, unrealistic. Those who have higher pricing than $300 will have a surplus and will have a discount at the end of the next seasoned. I suggest you buy what you typically need at this time and when prices agree more with you then stock up.

just ordered two additional ton from Lowes, delivering it with my flooring and bathroom projects! heck for the 75.00 delivery charge for the remodel supplies it was worth it!
