Stretch pantyhose over the intakes...I used to do this with my old desktop computers....worked great

Works good for air intakes on cars and trucks too, to keep snow from pugging up main filter. Learned that trick from a Alaskan pipeline heavy equipment mechanic.

Use a inexpensive furnace filter. The type I buy are a blue mesh surrounded with a cardboard edge. I cut off the edge and cut the blue mesh to the size of the outside openings to the fan. I hold the mesh in place with small magnets. Every couple of weeks I exchange them for new. The furnace filters are inexpensive and work well. Because they are on the outside or the stove there is no taking apart the stove to change.

That same fluff gets sucked into the cooling fans on the draft fan as well as the room air fan and the booster (if equipped)
Cat hair is very fluffy.
WE have not had a cat here since 2004 and I still find the black fluff in the electrostatic filter in the air handler when I wash the filter element.
Ahhhhhh, suggestion, park an old computer close by and run it.
These things suck up tons of crap.

Wasn't much hair left after it decided to stay warm by crawling on top of the truck engine and I needed to go. Wasn't much left of the ground hog either for that matter.

I had a cat for 17 years (would never get one again tho)
He was fairly compliant. Apparently i was just lucky, but i was able to cut his nails and bath him without issues. I imagine shaving him would have been fairly easy.
The major problem with the cat was him coughing up furballs everywhere. what a nightmare. Have a dog now. Much better.

There are vertical slots on the right lower side of the 25pdvc and one can take a straw (yes a plastic straw) while the convection motor is running and push it thought the vertical slot and push in slow on an a rearward angle and the straw will be in the squirrel cage area. Then one simply blows air through the straw and the dust bunnies puff out the stove at the top. (As you slowly push the straw in and as it gets close to the impeller plates you can hear noise indicating its close and if you get to close and hits the blades simply back off a bit. Try it, It works.
A 150 PSI air compressor with a flexible silicone vacuum hose on the end works even better. That is what I do.

i actually drilled a 2 inch hole in the side of the pdvc right in the center of the the squirrel cage. (the stoves wall not the actual blower). this lets me hit the squirrel cage with 150 psi compressed air which i use for my cleanings anyway. works great on the burn pot holes. With the leaf blower running, no dust comes in the house from that.
I made a plate that screws on with wingnuts to cover the hole when not in use for cleaning, although i probably didnt have to do all that.

Good idea! Englander does it for the other Exhaust Blower side. Why not do it for the Room Blower side?
