Hi Guys,

I was hoping you could help troubleshoot my issue. I've had this issue for the last 5 or 6 months.
As the video shows the flame goes out and will not restart.
I've consistently been able to start the fire and keep it going as long as I start the fire every 2 days. If I go beyond 3 days is when the problem occurs.
I had our local shop in to take a look since it is still under warranty, but all they could say was maybe gas pressure dropping when it first starts. Figure that cannot be the case when it starts every time for last few months as long as I do it every two days and not go beyond 3 days.

Have you tried switching the model over to CPI Mode(continuous pilot) from IPI Mode (Intermittent Pilot)
In continuous pilot mode, the flue stays warm, and draft is established.
In IPI mode, if its cold outside the pilot can not get rectification and it will go out just like in your video. But its hard to say from a short video.
Does this only occur when you first go to light it? Or does the flame go out while in operation?

Pretty sure I do not have a cpi option. This only happens when first starting. Once running never had an issue of flame going out.

What model do you have?

Ha. Oops. The IPI models do have there issues. Not just yours, but all of the manufactures have been working out the bugs. With that aside, I can not say that is the issue. You said when the tech came out he said maybe the gas pressure is dropping. Did the tech take any tools out of his bag, because he should have been able to tell you the pressure. He should have been able to narrow down the issue.
