Ok so my neighbor and I will have our pellet stoves at about the same time (looking to buy in bulk). My father in law also has a pellet stove also but he tends to get pellets at HD or Lowe's because they are cheap (so he may go in or he may not on the order).

Anyhow, what places in CT sell a good pellet for a good price? We would be looking at about 7-8 tons and we are across the street from eachother.

I don't know what your local pellet pricing is, but I'd take a look at www.woodpellets.com & see how their prices compare.
They deliver right to my driveway & fork the pallets to right where I want them. I will be buying at LEAST 8 tons from them
for next winter, maybe more if my daughter doesn't move out of a studio apartment over the garage...

I have already called CTpellet and they have some very nice stuff for about $250-$260 per ton. They will deliver to my neighbor and I for $75 for the first ton and $10 each additional ton. We will prob get about 6 tons to start and they said one delivery is fine since we are across the St from eachother. My father in law is 2.3 miles away and they do not count that as the same delivery unfortunatley. I will also check out woodpellets.com and the other places local to me this summer for deals/prices.

are you sure Scott said 75.00 for the first ton and not 25.00 ??

BT Enterprises in Bristol (Martin Cabinetry) is another big pellet distributor. Brian is a nice guy to deal with too. Great prices and huge selection. (BT Burn Time) Good luck. Aaron and Terry at Stateline dist in Moosup good people too.

ctpellet.com is $75 for first ton and $10 for each additional (just called yesterday) - and they will delay delivery on many of their brands upon request
btpellet delivery is a little cheaper (we're in Oxford) - not well stocked yet, prices still being determined
Agway carries Wood Pellet Co but there is no preseason special and running horribly expensive. I can get Hamers for less.

The preseason specials aren't spectacular, though BT has Energex for $255. I live on property surrounded by trees. Makes me wish I could make my own pellets. lol (kidding - too much else on my plate)

We're looking for places in CT too.

Just got a email from Black Swan (Newtown) yesterday. He's offering Hamer's @275 / ton BUT you have to take delivery before June 28th. Delivery is based on location. I love Hamer's but would rather get them in August or September so as not to fill up my garage any sooner than I have to. Do any of you know of any other retailers selling Hamer's in the Danbury area? Thank you.

CT Pellet has the Hamers for $289 / ton and will delay delivery until August. I was quoted delivery of $75 for first ton and $10 for each additional ton.

HTH.

Not sure those prices are much of a deal.

I use Burntime Enterprises out of Bristol/Suffield.
