I love my Cougar, but it was pricier. The double filter works well and the built i agitator to knock ash off the filter is a nice feature. Having said that, I would probably have gone with the PowerSmith had I known about it . . . translate that into 'had I checked here with the people who know' before I bought! But I am not at all disappointed with what I have.

just never EVER buy the hearth country ash vac.
i almost wish this could be stickied on the forum.

2 years on our Cleva, and it will be the last. Never liked it from day one. Will be getting something different this year

The Powersmith is excellent and worth every penny! Mine has been working great.

just ordered a powershith off amazon a few days back, pretty good price and free ship'n

also ordered the attach. kit and the optional 10 foot hose, I'm already glad I ordered that as the stock hose is a mere 4 foot if I remember correctly
