Western, MA
Anyone living in Western MA (Pittsfield area) get pellets delivered from places besides woodpellets.com or LP Adams?

Also, when does Lowes or Home Deport start taking deliveries for next year?

Trying to do some price comparisons for next years stash.

Around here near Phila, they start around September...
price is always the same 229.00, but just a matter of what brands.. Stove chows, yes. Green Supremes, Pass...

Ya, that is my fear. If I go with Home Deport - I want the chows - they were good last year.

HD Sold a shi..load of Stove chows last year.
I;m sure they will have them back again if they sold them at your HD.
Prob Green supremes and Presto logs also....[another crapy pellet]
I burned over a ton of Chows this past winter..Very hot!!
my complaints [minor] is lot of ash and inconsistent lenght size. but,
I clean my stove good every 10 days or so,
and with a Harman, longer pellets are not a problem,,
so, would buy again

How about woodpellets.com

WP.com, delivery price this year nearly doubled and prices for there pellets almost as high as the super premium pellets from CT Pellet. Will drive the 60 miles to CT pellet this year;ex;ex

Ya delivery costs are up. It costs an incredible amount of money to run those bigger rigs, considering fuel prices and general maintenance costs are way high ( you wouldn't believe parts and labor costs on those things) and they only get on the best day 6 MPG. Not to mention the driver wants to be paid.

Most people wouldn't really believe the breakdown... not much money in pellets, but sure is a lot of work...
