image.jpg With the near term outlook still going into the 30's, it looks like I may need to find a few loose bags for a couple more weeks. Maybe May will warm up a bit, but April 20th is still freezing.

i have two back up ton coming today from lowes, ya can never have too much!
Two tons BACKUP? I'd hate to see your usage! That's two-thirds of what I use in a typical season!

Get more. No question....

I am also down to 2 bags - one in the hopper, one in the shed. Burning right now to take the chill out of the house, so I will definitely be heading to the dealer for some overpriced bags to see us through.

I turned my stove off yesterday, it was 61 in my house this morning with a outside temp of 36, the sun is out today and house is slowly warming up, last time I lit my stove had a hard time trying to get the auger to turn due to excessive ash buildup, I do not feel like doing a major clean as I'm sick of burning, as I will be sick of mowing the grass soon too.
I'll just turn on the furnace for 20 mins in the morning as I've been on 3/8 tank left for 3-4 yr's

I would buy a few more - they don't go bad unless they aren't stored properly:) The last few days we have been able to shut down during the day. Earlier in the week we had a couple of days of 28F/-2C.

Just bought 6 tons for next year and that's including the 3/4 ton I have left from this year.

If that doesn't last me until summer I'm going to find one of those global warming scientists and kick them in the n***s.

My hybrid has a 12 gal tank, hits E after 8 gallons. That means I have about 200 miles of range before running out. I've gone about 130 miles on E before giving in to my range anxiety.

We picked up 20 bags today of whatever hardwoods were available. We burned almost 5 ton so far. The weather man isn't calling for any major warmth for the next two weeks. Still depressingly cold. Frick. I just wanna get on my motorcycle and RIDE!

Here on good old Cape Cod we are still burning and for the most day and night. For sure at night though. We had some warm up where the stove went out for several hours per day. That was last week not this week. Averaging a bag a day and I have 15 bags at the moment. Plenty available though from one supplier. Most of the others shut down pellet sales till next season. This is how it goes around here, by May 30th we may be running ac. Who knows.

I'm planning on an average winter next year and will put in 4 tons.
