Just wondering what you guys recommend as far as storing your stove for the off season. I quit burning a week ago after a few days of 60+, now this weekend it's in the 40's, but I digress. I did what is the usual for me, empty the pan, vacuum everything, pulled all my panels and brushed and vacuumed some more. Any suggestions on anything extra I should do? I'm totally empty of pellets, glass is clean. Anything I should consider as a preventative maintenance? It's a 5 or 6 year old Accentra that burns under 2 tons a season.
End of season cleaning...anything extra??

Get a bag of DampRid and put it in your Ash pan.. or you can use box of kitty litter to absorb any dampness during the summer.
Many here also spray the inside walls and burnpot with Pam Cooking spray or WD 40.
Helps prevent possible rusting..

All good advice. I typically wait till after Memorial Day to close the stove for the season. Typically the first or second week in June. I'm sure i'll be firing it up a few days here and there in May. Heck, tomorrow they are calling for a high of 50 by me.
