Hello

This FS invincible RS has a broken thumb screw in the right side baffle plate inside the firebox. It snapped in half and some threads are still in there.

The local Hillsman display did not have any. Looks like 1/4-20
Does anyone know how long the threads are and the size and where I can get one?

Similar to the one I have in the pic below but longer threads

I had one that was bent that I chose to replace.. I took a 1/4-20 threaded flat bladed screw and added a thumb type of wing nut. What I now do is just thread the screw, with antiseige brushed onto the screw and put the 1/4-20 wing nut on so I can tighten it down enough to hold the panel on. I've found that hand tight works good. When it comes time to take apart I just hold the bolt with a straight bladed screwdriver and then release the wing nut enough so I can take the bolt out.

I know it doesn't tell you where to get one of the very expensive brass numbers but this has been working for me for a long time and since this isn't something that most people stand there looking at it is the way I went. As I remember they ran about $6 each plus shipping for the real thing.

Thanks for the info. I saw some Harman replacements for $6 also but only 5/8" long and these are approx 2" long so apparantly Harman does not have the longer ones anymore! Welding the wing nut to the threaded rod maybe a good idea also. Thanks!

Hello

Home Depot has some Zinc Plated Winged Screws!

1/4-20 course thread same as Harman.
See >> http://www.homedepot.com/s/winged%20screw?NCNI-5

They come 3/8" long 1/2" Long 3/4" Long 1" Long 1-1/4" Long and Long 1-1/2" Long. Can you measure and see which one of these would be best?
