Can't hurt. I looked at the equilibrium moisture for your area, and it's low enough. The Red will dry pretty quickly there and the Cherry won't be too far behind. I think you'll have some pretty dry wood by this fall.

Where'd you find it?

I mean, it ain't Arizona but it's close to what it is here, and that Red really amazed me by how fast it dried. First one I got was a storm-damaged yard bird from down the road, so it was live wood, and within three months I could already tell that it would be good by fall.
Selected US cities are listed about half way down the page:

Fine stuff and a useful resource for a place like here. Glad I didn't need to understand the math in the beginning part. That might have taken a few years...by which time the wood would have dried already :)

Added another face of maple out by the pond. Probably gonna move one more face of cherry and enough to even out my first stack. That's probably gonna do it. Kinda a pain in the arse moving wood over and over. If it don't dry there it won't dry anywhere! Full sun and wind most of the day.

You'll be all set, come fall. Might want to move that round bale, just to be sure...could be blocking some wind. ;)
That's probably gonna do it.
Hey, Bud, if you're all done, I could use a little help. I still need to cut, split and stack about six cords give or take, to stay two years ahead of us and my MIL. That's not counting trying to get my SILs ahead (cutting only)... ==c

Oh I'm still cutting a little but I'm not moving another stacked piece of wood until it goes in the stove!
