you're gonna love this stove (at least after the burn in, it's gonna stink and offgas smoke for an hour or so)
I break em in really slow -,indoors with a window open. Hardly notice any smoke that way.

feel free to drop me a line if you run into any questions, I see BB has already supplied the "virtual tee shirt"( I gotta get some of those printed off).

Welcome to the ESW family!
Thanks Stoveguy. Am pretty excited(and little nervous LOL) to fire it up in the fall. Still gotta install the.chimney and build a hearth pad for it. Always awesome when there is a company employee on a forum!

Lookin good. Yeah those HD drivers are scary. When they delivered my fridge the guy stopped too soon coming up the hill/driveway and skidded a twenty foot box truck backward with the brakes on and stopped one foot from the pole with the transformer on it. !!!

PS: Your are gonna like that heater.
Wow! Sounds like yours was pretty lucky! Mine was as well as the phone company came out and fixed it the next day for free.

Why wait until the fall? I bought mine in March and built the hearth by June. In July I built a chase on the second story and popped out the roof. By August I was too antsy and had tons of lumber scraps lying around. I couldn't wait any longer.

All the windows were wide open, it was a breezy day, and the fans already going anyways because its August......got it up to 550F stovetop. Of course I did a number of fires to gradually season it but boy did it smoke!!!! Glad I did it then! The stink went right out the windows.

Once fall came around and I started really using it for heat it still stunk/smoked a little bit when I hit a new high temp. Made me happy that 90% of the break in process was done over the summer or it would have really stunk.
