Friends of ours saw some pictures of some pallet projects and decided to build and sell tables and benches. We purchased 3 four foot benches for use around our fire pit. I have plenty of pallets but I don't have the skill, patience or tools to build anything out of them. A few local businesses sell them or send them back but most consider them trash. If you look in the background, the two pallets held up by metal stakes are my version of a woodshed. The plywood on the top is not attached but it works.

Nice rocks!
Here in NY we have burning laws enacted. Not sure whats behind the politics but the justifications are Forest fire safety. You are allowed to have open fires if they are campfires or if you are cooking. lol.
But its interesting to see the size diameter of your firepit. Borderline bonfire. Are those quarried rocks?

great bench idea. looks like you have a nice place there.

I love working with pallets. They're real popular down here. People will pay good money for furniture made from pallets. I've made a few coffee tables and threw together this wood rack last winter. Also done some wine racks, end tables, etc.

The rocks were foundation stones from an old barn. We had them at old house and brought them with us when we moved 10 years ago. Due the the increased width of my woodpiles, I had to move them to the other side of the backyard. I had to use a dolly to move them. They are heavier than they look.

very cool, you just solved my bench issue. Looks very easy to make too.
