Slowly building up my supply. Prices are WAY UP. For premiums, 275-300 a ton average. Cheapest I've seen so far quality is 250. Im guessing the box stores will be 230-250 this fall ! :(

The shocker, I've seen where there are HALF the usual choices available. Usual brands that Id buy are selling out in days. There is inventory , but its flat, isn't building. The mills are cranking out product, and its moving as fast as its trucked.

If we get a tough winter, id think shortages could be as bad or worse than last year.

Locally, here mwp blend is still my best bang for the buck at $232 a ton delivered. Just took delivery of three tons to bring my stash level up to over four tons. I burned 189 bags last winter. Think I'm all set but may still buy another ton if I come across a good deal at one of the big box stores.

If you have the space to do so, you should buy enough pellets now to last the entire heating season. I have 6 1/2 tons tucked away and have nothing to fear from potential shortages next winter.

Have 4 tons of Energex Hardwoods in my basement with room for a 5th...
might just grab a ton of Stove Chows from HD in the fall for the hell of it..219.00 ton.

Bought Maine Woods for 250 here. Cheapest better pellets ive seen. Hamers are at 280-299 around here :(

Have 1 ton of D-Fur another ton in a week or so.

Lowes has 4.68 listed on their website. This is the same as last summer in the fall they dropped to $4.38 and went back to 4.68 sometime in Jan/Feb. You can search on here for everyone painting doom and gloom on pellet prices last summer as well. Big Box stores basically sold them at the same price as the previous year. Id be surprised if they do not do so again this year.

Hello

Here are the prices around here. Nice to know the ash content and BTUs shown for each. :)

Ambiance $259/ton plus delivery

I bought 4 ton of the Ambiance but would like to try the others.

If it's the stuff with an American Flag on it, run away as fast as you can!! Worst I have EVER come across in every area of performance.
