I have a motor home with a gas / electric fridge. the electric side don't work so was hoping to get the gas side working. I cleaned the burner out and got it to light, but after it's burning a while it goes out. Any ideas on whats wrong ?

What type of ignition? If direct spark a bad ground could cause both failures. Also there is a control board that may have poor contacts. What brand of fridge and age?

It is a 51621 Silhouttte by Dometic. 1993 model... electronic ignition. After it lights, it has a nice blue flame but goes out in about 1 - 4 minutes. has a good spark to it.

I messed with it a little more today. I'm thinking it must be a bad thermocouple. It lights for about 30 seconds then I hear a click and it shuts off. Guess I'll do a search and see if I can get one.

It quits sparking after it lights so I dont Know for sure if that would be thermocouple or not.

I found a manual online. Guess i need to get an ohm meter and check the thermostor
