My new used garden tractor with attachments

I've been casually looking for a garden tractor for some time now knowing I can get mowing jobs on our road that pay well for two acres or less. And I wanted a garden tractor so I could get a snowblower attachment for my 800' driveway which I usually clear with my ATV plow but at times it becomes encroached when the snowfall is as deep as it was last year! Well, I found this 2002 craftsman GT3000 tractor on CL last week with a 46" snowblower with an electric/hydraulic lift, snow shell, 50" deck, dethatcher, box scraper with sleeve hitch, wheel weights and a snow blade. Plus chains for all four tires and a new seat that needs to be installed. I got it for $800 and my walk behind MTD 10 HP snowblower. It has 423 hours on the meter. I think I got a good deal... What do you all think?

Now I want it to snow! Lol... But tomorrow's 55 high temp won't get us buried yet...

It has a Kohler twin 23 HP engine. I don't know much about them but with pressurized oiling and a filter instead of a splash oiler and no filter that's a good sign to me. A mechanic in town and I were just talking about how many small engine company's are in or were in the state here. We came up with:

B&S, Wisconsin, Kohler, Tecumseh, Harley Davidson. We could be wrong on some...? The state also has a Polaris engine plant but they are from neighboring Minnesota, my home state.

The original owner says he keeps the box scraper on the back for more weight when clearing snow. I might look into buying some suitcase weights and a bracket but they ain't cheap! About a buck a pound if not more and $100 for the bracket. But I guess considering all of what I bought at one time cost around $4000-$5000 it puts it in perspective.

That's good to hear! And I know a lot on here don't care for those MTD snow blowers like I traded to the guy but I used to clear my hole length of driveway with that MTD 10 HP blower and the only problem that I ever had was the handle came loose and I lost an arched piece where the bolt goes through and then through the handle into the body of the blower. I replaced it and torqued it down good and no problems after that. That 10 horse motor really sounded nice when the snow was deep and it governed up nicely.

It sure will beat having to man handle that walk behind snowblower. I have 800' of driveway and it can be a beitch if the snow is deep or heavy! Most of the time I can clear it with the ATV and a 60" plow but last year had me wanting a tractor and blower! Like I've said now it prolly won't snow for years...
