Finally got rid of my Enviro EF-4 and replaced it with a Harman Accentra 52i for the upcoming winter. Can't say how excited I am to get this thing cranking and see how it heats the house (much larger heat output than my old Envrio).

But I am stuck on what to do with the old Enviro Insert. It has some surface rust, a mechanical issue that made it finicky to staying running, and needs a new distribution blower as the current one will only run on max speed. To say is nicely, the stove is tired and needs more love than I am willing to put into it (14 years old and the previous owner of the house did not take care of their stuff).

If I were to throw it on Craigslist, does anyone have a fair price to put it at? It is too old, and a more obscure model from Enviro to find a standard price. I do have a brand new auger motor and pin igniter that I would push with it. Or at this point, is scrapping it for the metal a better route to take?

Thanks in advance.

I know the dilemma. Having just gotten a old whitfield with issues. Price $81. Yes it runs but with issues. Will probably be used as spare parts but maybe someone else will need or want it for that purpose. We all know how much tech labor is. Ebay the auger motor and igniter later when the heating season gets under way as the first month of a new heating season will get the stoves out of hibernation and delayed service have to be done. Something that needs repair on CL seems to be next to worthless. My free advise for what its worth.

As the stove is still supported logistically from Enviro, its still a viable unit. I'd sell it for a couple hundred dollars if it still has useful life with proper maintenance done to it. Somebody is always looking for a bargain, or a project...

I second that. At least you gotta give CL a try.
