Hi. Any tips for getting the inner pipe of my telescoping DVL pipe to fit into the collar on my Englander 17-VL. It is a very tight fit. I have thought of grinding a slight taper into the collar or cutting some short relief cuts into the DVL liner but wanted to ask before making any mods. Thanks

Do you have a DVL stove top adapter? Not sure if you have to have one but mine does.

Someone here will have all the info you'll need.

Sometimes it fits best without the adapter, but not always. In this instance, you will need the adapter. It's inner wall is tapered and crimped.

I had the same stove and pipe. You'll need the stove adapter for whatever brand you used. In my case it was dura vent dvl

What he said. I have the 17 with Duravent DVL and have the adapter.

yep, the stovetop adapter is the proper way to adapt to the flue collar of the pipe you are using doesn't fit. cutting the pipe voids its listing (the pipe's UL listing) by the way so you will want to avoid that if at all possible
