Just got this hot ticket installed - Harman Accentra 52i.

I am hoping I cant stand being in my living room with the heat this thing pushes out. My old Enviro EF-4 would barely keep the first floor at 70 during the cold spells; I don't think that will be an issue anymore. Loving the look of the mirrored glass and love the fact this thing has an ash pan (no more three day shut downs to clean it out). I have 3-tons of the North Country Softwood Pellets stacked in the basement, now I just need this summer to fly along. Its like waiting for christmas.

I love my pellet stove but I would love it even more if I didnt need it.

Considering how cold (and long) this past winter was, I am not ready for summer to end just yet but i totally understand where you are coming from. We are remodeling our basement and we are installing a gas stove for downstairs and pellet stove for the second floor and we are eager to try both stoves out.
I agree on the late fall season-the best!

I myself prefer a longer spring with the greening up and smells of fresh blooms. That new insert does look very nice.

I'm in the same boat waiting to see how my new 52i will perform this winter had mine installed in June hope were both pleasantly surprised

Haha, to tell you the truth, I really am not a fan of summer. Late fall all year long would be my dream come true.

Hey guitarjamman, nice sailboat you got there. How does that sailboat work for you in the late fall and throughout the winter in Central MA? Let me guess, you go to the BVIs in December for the Christmas winds.

That looks great, congrats.....

I have my butler "Winston" feed the stove and take care of my personal matters while I sail around the world. Difficult life, but someone has to do it.

(Grew up on Cape Cod and was on the sailing team. Don't get me wrong, I make the best of summer, but winter is where the party is at).

I had three butlers for years but they all grew up and moved out. Now I'm left to fend for myself.

Congrats on your stove choice! Even though we Harman guys 'can burn anything'... I would still recommend buying only the good pellets - it may save us in the long run :)

I too am courageously looking forward to this winter - I'm ready!

Boston TV weather over the weekend reported that thus far this summer, there were 4 days above 93 degrees and 18 last year at this time. I have 6 cords of wood and 4 tons+ pellet and I can tell you for sure, mentally, I am not ready for winter.

When we in the New England can turn off the AC and open the windows at night in mid-August, this was NOT a hot summer at all! OMG 6 cords and 4 tons+.... in a word, wow! (Mentally... I'm trying to convince myself I'm ready - to be determined...)

No thanks on winter just yet....did I mention last winter was a bit chilly?

A bit chilly? YES! (When you can see -10 in CT and worse where you are, well lets just say I'm still scared!) Ok ok ok... I'm NOT ready!

Winter is winter, it's part of the annual cycle here. But no, I am not ready just yet for another one, especially if it's like the last one that seemed endless and gave up it's hold reluctantly !

At least with a Harman P61A, you're definitely packing heat! How do you like LaCretes?

I felt LaCretes were a very decent pellet, a notch above Energex but below something like Okanagan DF. But then most pellets are below Oakie DF ! However my dealer is not handling LaCrete this year, so next down the list is Spruce Pointe for me. That dealer hasn't set pricing for this season yet. I have two tons of the Oakies held at my dealer for Jan on. I have not put in the other two tons yet that will dwell here. It's coming down to Pointes or Energex hardwood thus far. I'll know which and have them next month.

Awesome - you definitely will be set come what may! (it's a comforting feeling at least to know we'll be warm!)

Yeah cannot wait for -30C either.
