Ideas for DIY log arch/hauler/skidder.

I spent nearly all of my weekend time in July demolishing my old mobile home. Should have just paid someone to do it last year after I moved out. Spent a couple months trying to sell it, and a couple more just trying to give it away. It's finally completely gone - now I can get back to my wood chopping fix.

At least I ended up with some good salvage from it for all those bills I paid. 10 loads of stone for the driveway, about 40 16' 2x6 floor joists (rafters for a woodshed lean-to off of my garage), 3 axles, and a 40' steel frame. Threw away a 40'x17' trailer worth of tar-covered galvanized roofing material, before realizing it's value as cover for my stacks.

I'd like to use an axle or two, and some of the steel, to build a log arch. Anybody here ever try to build one? Got pics?

I'm not sure if the I-Beam material I have is really the right thing to use after looking at a few plans and YouTube videos. Ill post a few things I've been looking at here later.

But the axles will do just fine. The dream system is an A frame with a winch for a front/main trailer, and a tag axle with a chain fall for longer pieces. My little 1950's Farmall Cub could probably handle that.

I have so many projects I need and want to do. Not sure where this fits. Ill probably drag the logs out with my dads big tractor before I end up building it.
