Child safety locks for a pellet stove

Hi guys

I have an accentra freestanding stove and twin three year old boys. This is as volatile a combination as alcohol and fireworks. For the last two years we have practiced fireplace safety ( hot bad owie and holding hands close to feel,heat etc) with them. We also not trusting them an inch have rigged up a butt ugly child safety screen bolted to the walls surrounding the stove.

While I am now convinced the boys won't burn themselves on the stove I am concerned that their fascination of opening the door and putting something in the stove will spike when they see me using the pellet stove. I would love to get rid of the ugly screen (plus I am not convinced it really works well now that they are three). So what I would really like to find is some sort of child lock like with cooking ovens that will prevent our little feral cubs from opening the door.

Everything I have seen online uses adhesives etc which I am sure would not be a good idea.

Any suggestions from you guys what you did to protect your kids. It would be great to get rid of this hideous busted large broken down and in reality useless screen
