I have a Harman Accentra with outside convection hood that need to be removed to extend it. What direction does it turn to get off? What is the best tool to get it off???Many thanks to all who respond!

I have no idea what you are calling an "Outside Convection Hood", I have never heard that before. take a photo and post it, you will then get plenty of info.

Should take a twist of maybe two inches counter clockwise. If someone used a bit of silicone could be very hard to remove. I have rubber strap wrenches to aid in removing. Try hitting the joint all the way around with a flat wood piece like a 2x2 to help loosen if it's rusted on. Good luck. Could use metal duct tape to seal the joint or self bonding silicone tape available in electrical dept.
