Hello, my folks have a 25-PDV from 2003. I gave it a full cleaning and did a test run for them and came across 2 concerns. First question is what the default settings for the bottom 3 buttons should be as well as what mode it should be in. Second, and most likely unrelated, the convection fan feels awful week. My little 25-PDVC moves a lot of air when the convection fan is all the way up to 9, but this one feels like it is blowing at half the speed. Any way to test? Thanks for any help people can offer. Want to make sure they are running good before the cold weather comes.

Also, the convection blower and heat settings can not be adjusted independently of each other as I can with my 25-PDVC. Can the control board be upgraded so that it can be?

Why not call Englander`s free on line service #? They will give you the correct settings for that model. and assist with other issues.

yep , call my shop at 800-245-6489 (hours are 8-5 eastern monday through friday)

myself or one of my techs would be happy to go over the settings with you and i can release the room fan to local control so it will act as your PDVC does. will need the stove shut down when we do it so i can walk you through some changes with the control board. would need to have you at the unit as well, but its easy stuff , just button pushing for the most part

I did see that you cleaned the stove. I do have to ask, did you remove the convection blower and clean the screen and fins on the blower? I see a lot of build up in this area because it is difficult to remove the blower and folks over look cleaning it.

Somehow I missed that Mike had responded here. I will have my dad give a call. Also, the fins on the blower were cleaned. It was a pain to get it out, but I did it.

yeah man, give us a call at the number in the post you quoted, talk to one of my techs, we'll go over the stove with you and help you with diagnosing it. probably just needs some specific servicing.
