We have a small cabin at Big Sky, Mt. Approximately, 50 years old. Beautiful 1800's stove refinished. Cabin was refurbished with new siding and metal roof. The thru the wall chimney was taken off and not replaced. The Chimney guy I called said it did not meet code. I have to figure out how to support the outdoor chimney as it goes up 8ft. How do cabin owners support the pipe going up outside?

Hi Big Sky,
Welcome. Sounds like a nice cabin!

I won't have any answers for you, unfortunately. But I am thinking that your stove must be a wood burning stove, rather than a pellet stove, correct? If so, post your questions on the wood stove side of this forum......you will get the experts on that type of stove.

Good luck!
