that's why you get the big bucks.

Just called the local guys who did some work on the system when I bought the house. $2.05 /gal. I told them to come fill it.

Tis a good deal. I just filled my tanks last week at $2.69 and that includes the .10/gallon cash discount. I was happy with that now but I'm feeling a little less content.

Upside is I burned $213 worth of propane all last fall, winter, spring. Previous (pre wood stove) and much milder year was just under $1100. Combine that with about $600 in wood and a MUCH MUCH more comfortable home, I'm okay with it. If I was a risk taker I could've made it through this winter without a fill up (mathematically anyways) but figured I'd go for the fill up and rest easy this winter.

Cash discount? I didn't even think of asking for such a thing. I usually prefer paying with cash, but find service companies always want a check, rather than having their tech's or drivers around town with greenbacks in their pocket.

I probably need < 400 gallon to top off the tank, which will last me a few years, so we're not talking a lot of money.

Well....The girl on the phone referred to it as the "cash" price ($.10 off per a gallon), but, the actual bill says, "If paid within 10 days deduct "X" amount"
I was a little confused on the phone with her, I asked, "So, ah, do I have to be hear to pay the driver cash, will he have change for me?"
This in turn confused the girl who told me she's not entirely sure how it works, but there'll be details on the bill they leave and "no" do not give the driver cash. It was all perfectly clear when I saw the bill and it was in fact an "early payment" (thanks for not making us send collections after you) break on price.
Should be good for a while now.
