I was just curious if anyone has installed an indoor boiler on a hearth with divorced storage in Basement.
The fan and gasification sound: Would this be a nuisance?
Natural draft would eliminate the fan.
Wheels always spinning!

When you say "hearth" do you mean an existing fireplace with brick or stone?

I'm working on an Empyre Elite 100 indoor, which will be going in my walk out / rec room with storage in the (small 14 x 14) basement.

I think your asking about having the boiler in your living space?
Yes, it was just a thought. I could easily set a hearth right opposite my slider install interior chimney. size boiler as small as possible for my house load. I was just curious if one has ever installed in living space. with new indoor boilers looking pretty sharp For me would not be aesthetic issue, just curious of noise etc. r-value on hearth pad would be a concern. weight could be engineered.

For me, the fan would be too much. Natural draft, if you got the chimney for it, would work, i would think. Maple1 has a natural draft unit

Yup - runs pretty darned quiet. Just that nice gassification rumble that we all like to hear.

It has a nice glass door on the secondary chamber too - not all that big though. So you might have to sit close. ==c
