Low voltage cutoff on my backup batteries tied to the auger motor so that the stove shuts down if the batteries get too depleted.

re-route my HRV return to push the warm air out of the room for better distribution.

I made some turbulators to try in the exchanger tubes.

- Pellets - Switched to Ambiance as I noticed last year that they put out more heat and less ash and dust than NEWP, and they smell better (always a plus). Bought 5 ton instead of 4.

- The P61a combustion blower had a bad bearing. Sounded like a bag of marbles. Still under warranty so I brought it to my local dealer who gave me the new one. Nice and quiet now.

- Ran it once already on a 65 degree "summer" day to cure the new paint job.

- All hornets have been evicted via smoke inhalation or CO poisoning. Both Pellet stoves clean and ready to go.

Could have done the paint cure this AM as we were at 46. Made some banana bread to heat the house up to 69.

I need to prep the hopper so that the pellets don't stick to the inside when it gets low.

I also need to buy a generator and get it set up.

Couple of options for making the hopper slippery. I like graphite paint. Works great on the auger too.

Whitfield doesn't have problems with pellet's dropping down the chute, you ALL bought INFERIOR STOVES, most are longtime COPIES of the FIRST AND BEST STOVE EVER MADE!

Hello

One more option I like on the hopper is what farmers use for grain silos called "Slip Plate" I tried it and it works great!

From what I have seen on Top Auger stoves the Whitfield auger bearing system still is the best! The other stoves did not come close to copying it!

I do love the Advantage II-T. Hands down my favorite stove. Not as pretty as some newer ones, and not as much hopper space as newer ones, but it is a heat throwing machine that still works as good now as when it was made 22 years ago. Darn shame Whitfield got bought out and trashed.

;lol;lol Like a Ferrari is a long time copy of the Model T.

I was going to ask about this... Your already doing it! I see graphite paint used on fan blades and wondered why not the auger.

Impressive. I'm thinking how the heck do you think this stuff up? engineer/machinist...

I've found a lot of used stoves have some pellets left in the hopper and it is hell on the auger if they get damp. The graphite cures that and makes it better than new. As far as turbulators go, its been a practice in boilers for a long long time.

By the way slip plate is just a graphite spray.I prefer moly except in firebox, thats for graphite. And spray teflon for plow blade.

I like moly in my cycles gearboxes. I thought they were trying to ban Teflon as like atrazine never breaks down but has been found in water sources. I know it's great to make a torch from to cut ANYTHING. It's banned from use in cookware in resteraunts.

Does the Slip Plate go on clear?

Do not know what color slip plate is.As I have to mail order anything like that I use zep products. As far as the ptfe, they advertise it for door hinges, locks moving parts, dielectric insulating, etc.I know the manufacturing procedure is the most harmful, and even though they are taking it out of cookware it is not bad untill heated above 500.Kind of like freon r22 is better.safer than r12,and then they find it is not,so here we go again!
