Is it possible to repair, reconnect/weld, a broken hinge on the stove door? I know that cast is difficult to work with. Or is it possible to find a replacement door? Looking for help here......

There are some types of replacement doors available. Mama and Papa use the same door, so you have a good chance finding one. (flat top or arch top? Black, nickel or brass plate?)
If you replace a door you most likely have to lay the stove on it's back and remove hinge tabs to re-weld them in the correct position for another door. So it may be easier to repair door. There were many foundries making doors and each mold is a bit different. The door was set, centered on the seal, and hinge tabs were welded in the correct place for that door. You can't switch doors from stove to stove and expect many to align with the door seal channel or hinge ears to line up with the hinge plates already on stove.

Cast can be welded if done correctly. The entire piece should be heated, then welded. Cast iron moves heat so quickly, the heat from the weld area moves away to the rest of the door, cooling too fast. Once cooled properly, it is as strong as any other weld.
