One of my worst splinters a hedge splinter. I wonder if they would make wood pegs out of hedge . Hmm. Nobody take my invention now.

Yeah a thorn under the fingernail is not so fun either. Pegs.....hmmm,,,,not sure on that. Probably wouldn't make much money due to them never rotting.

When do they drop the monkey balls? I haven't noticed any splattered in the road anywhere

Not sure round here they are still on the trees.

I seem to remember seeing a few about a month ago. Could be this isn't a big year for them...

A little early for the hedgeballs to drop around here. End of month I am thinking.....

Yep only 10 splits from 4 truck loads. Yeah the hedge gonna be for next year. Just got 3 truck loads of white oak and hickory today. Lot of storms lately taken everything down.

That would be a play on words as hedge is so dense 10 splits weigh a ton. 4 truck loads would be a shXX ton.

Yeah sh@# ton bout sums it up. Getting another truck full on Friday. Not real excited about splitting another load but want as much as I can get.

Got another load today. Not a good day to cut. Heat index was above 100.

I thought this year was weird too until I looked back and saw that we had six days over 90 degrees last September also.

Yeah it has. Think winter is gonna be real bad this year. All this rain is gonna be snow come this winter.

Chain has been good for me. Sharpened it a few times but not everytime. Using a Oregon micro chisel chain. Green not too bad to cut.
