Those are the 2 best. But I don't think epa certifies boilers or furnaces yet. Kuuma has done the tests and qualify (if they could) under the woodstove rules.

I can second the Kuuma. nice solid piece of equipment.

I have a VIGAS from Marc in NY. It is wonderful gaser/boiler. No issues in four years. Had to put in a new nozzle and a couple fire bricks. I have the 80 with 2000 gallons of storage. I heat three old buildings about 6500 sq ft total. I built a boiler room for it onto barn. i would not put it in basement. http://ahona.com

STIHLY, You are correct. It has about a season and a half on it. It is just too big for our house. I have to keep it choked back too much to get a clean burn. It pumps out the heat. I bought an OWB (Boo!! Hiss!! from the Hearth bleachers). I am changing over to hydronic heating. My thought process was that I can build up my system in the house and then I can swap in an Econoburn OWB Gasser or a Garn (in a shed of course) in a few years. This will spread the cost out and keep it off the credit card. I bought a new but very basic boiler from Ridgewood. I beat the price increase and brought it home for a tick less than $2500.

P.S. The gasser group here at Hearth finally won me over..
