Hi all,

Just picked up a Resolute I (I think it is a resolute I... 1979 stamped on the inside with the oven door) on craigslist to replace my Jotul 602. The height of my chimney opening is only 24.5" so I need to find a short leg kit. Any suggestions on where to find one? Will any of the other model resolute short legs work with my stove? I guess option number 2 is to get out the hacksaw.

Great. Just borrowed an electric hacksaw. I am planning on replacing the gaskets as well. Those allen bolts on the stove exit pipe seem to be seized. The stove right now is the horizontal exit which is what I need but is there a gasket there that needs to be replaced as well? Would you recommend just drilling those bolts out or should I not worry about taking that apart?

You could always just clean it from the inside and put furnace cement on it from the inside.....that's what I would probably do if the bolts didn't come out easily. After a year of use you will then have the whole spring and summer if you want to do some drilling or try various methods to free the bolt.
