Very nice. Warmth alert!

Very nice. Another sad day for the oil delivery company.:)

Wow fits nicely! (yea, you just hard to start it up on such a warm day too - I would have done the same!)

Welcome to the club :)

Nice that's the coolest fireplace/hearth I've ever seen.i just got my accentra haven't used it yet except test fire since it was installed in June. Let me know how things go this winter enjoy!!

Just curios how much did u pay per ton for your pellets since I buy the same brand

Well things kicked butt last winter, so anything more 'normal' and things will be just fine! I didn't have cash for the 'cash' price ($299/ton) - so I paid $309 with the credit card. I understand the LaCrete are maybe a notch above the Barefoot - a few more btu's and slightly less ash - so I won't start burning them until after the Barefoot are gone first.

Thanks for the reply but was asking daument our new member sorry didn't specify

I do have a question for u boomer how much space do u heat w ur accentra. And how often do u routine clean ur stove with ur pellet choice

Looks like you have some thick walls there based on your first picture. You should be able to heat that place with a candle. Beautiful hearth...nice job.

I have 2,300 sq. ft. - my house is also VERY well insulated ( I have electric-baseboard heat!! so tons of insulation ). I have only burned this past season and didn't have a problem with keeping everything warm with burning Barefoot pellets.

Since I started later in the season and with the really cold weather starting, i.e. had the stove running 'higher' than if having started in the not-as-cold October days, my routine started out as a thorough cleaning 1x per week.

Example... turning off the machine, emptying out ash pan, cleaning/scrapping out burn pot - never had 'clinkers' maybe because of quality of pellet - and brushing off/taking out baffles, the exhaust blower cover and that other stove-width cover 'thingy' along the bottom.

When getting the stove cleaned out by the technician this summer, I explained to him my weekly routine and he said what I performed weekly was more of a monthly cleaning! HOWEVER - I did noticed that the stove would throw out a little more heat with a weekly cleaning like that. Also using that procedure (and those pellets), the ash pan was filled to capacity.

(Stove set as follows: FEED RATE #3 / STOVE TEMP MODE between #3 - #4 and running 24/7)

Of course when we hit sub-zero temps in CT - something rare for us - the side with the pellet stove would be 72/70 - 68/66 other side.... then upstairs would be 60, but that was on those rare days. Normally if temps outside were 15-20 low / 25-30 high, temps would be 72 - 69 - 64.

Thanks for info haven't even used mine to heat yet so asking all the "you will see or find out" questions I guess. My home is just under 2000 square feet new windows doors and insulation although still have some work in some areas tightening up the house I think things will go well this winter considering the size difference between our homes.

This is a wonderful site for all those types of questions :) so always feel free to ask away! (you'll see no lack of opinions here). Very true - you'll have no problem this upcoming winter especially with all those new improvements to your house.

People even debate whether it is better to buy all your pellets NOW or if it's better to wait... I can see which of those 2 camps we are in!

The only thing I would recommend is pulling ash pan every 3-4 days to dump (galvanized steel trash can in garage) bit I do a similar cleaning on weekly basis.

$215.00 How do you like them?
Haven't used them but for a test burn but have talked to some people who have they say their the best around if that helps and I paid $188 a ton in May so try to stock up in spring you'll get a better price

Dealer here said the best price he had was 209.00 a few months ago.... perhaps a better deal somewhere else.

I could dump that often.. but even at a 'higher' setting (FEED RATE 3 / STOVE TEMP 3 - 4), I can go for an entire week before emptying. (maybe because I was using a relatively 'lower' ash type of pellet??) I'm hope that will still be the case when I finish burning my Barefoot and attack my stacks of LaCrete.... to be determined around December or so :)

I'll let u know how the as is with my pellets to see how they compare when we start burning
