Where did you get the Bear Mountain from?

Lumberjack makes a good pellet. I tried Marth in the past and have not been impressed with them. I haven't tried the Rib Mountain at all, but have heard good things about them.

I prefer softwood versus hardwood. Less ash and usually more heat.

What stove do you have? You may want to consider corn.

Have you tried the Uncle Jed's cold remedy from EES. I've used it for a few years, and it performs well. This is my 4th season with the stove, so my experience is VERY limited and the first season was the only year i really had a variety to try, not being familiar with the stove's things had to be very bad for me to notice. I had one brand that made golf ball sized clinkers, don't recall who's they were.
The Uncle Jeds i burn in a pc45, i'll clean the heat exchange about 7-10 days, the ashes and rest of the stove 3 times a year. Seeing it in writing, probably needs to be more often.

Quick ignition after I found a loose wire to the exhaust fan Not much ash and good heat but that's after only burning about 2 hours but looks good. Hope so I bought 2 tons. Will be the pellet to feed the fussy Elena. 48 degrees outside with a stiff damp wind and no sun.

I have used Uncle Jed's cold remedy and never had a problem. They are sold by earth sense and brought in from Canada. They also sell Bear Mountain and re bag as Uncle Jed's cold remedy super premium. This week I had 2 tons of Uncle Jeds premium and 2 tons of the bear mountain. My dealer is in Sayner and called Up North Traders they are affiliated with Earth Sense. Great people. Service and support are outstanding.

Burnt for over four hours and shut down. Very little ash and very light brown. Pot cleanest I have seen in any pellet I have burnt although I have only used 4 brands so far in the Elena and one was a straight soft wood. Price went up to $225/ton.
Got to go find the soldering iron setup and fix some wires. Day time high was 51

Diesel, where are you located? This may help to find a different supplier in your area.

The cold weather arrived here this afternoon. It's way to early for this kind of weather here in South West Wisconsin. It's 50 degrees here with a cold damp wind and getting colder as the sun goes down.

Fleet Farm is having a sale on Superior Premium Pellets starting tomorrow for $225 a ton. I bought 4 tons last year for $185/T. Were far better than the Indeck we used the years before.

Pretty much generic

All we burn are the rib mt soft pellets. Excellent pellet, hardly any ash and good heat. They are equal to the uncle Jed's and last year after having to get a ton of the Jed's i thought they were better.

Picking up another ton tomorrow morning. Slowly trying to get to pig status.

I was disappointed with Lumberjacks last year. The bags had a lot of fines and I seemed to go through a lot of pellets to maintain boiler temperature. Moreover, many of the bags were sealed poorly and broke open when I hauled them into the house.

Whenever I burned Lumberjacks my vent pipe emitted a lot of vapor. I got a lot less steam from Pro Pellets and even Indecks.

I'll probably give them a try again this year but won't buy a ton until I know the product is worthy.

Last season was the first time I tried Dejno's pellets, and I was pretty happy with them. I think they have a vendor up in Brussels, Dan's Wood Pellet Sales. I've never dealt with Dan but I like the pellets.
