Wherever we're parked
Getting ready for the stash to arrive. Took the P61A apart & went thru it top to bottom on Sunday in preparation for the new season. The GF & I split up last December & she stayed in the house with my pellet burning baby, while I moved in with the new Lady. Needless to say, she didn't exactly show any TLC towards my Harman. Top was scratched. Rusty spots from her teakettle. Glass was filthy. Pellet bag plastic melted to the top. Remnants of that last bag were still in the burnpot, hopper & ash bin. She's ready to go now, tho. All cleaned & scraped & spruced & painted. 10 tons of Cleanfire Hardwoods will be here mid-October & we'll be good to go.
This weekend I'll have at the P43 & my daughter's winter heater will be ready to go as well...

I do my full cleaning in the spring after my last fire. I buy my pellets for next year then too.

I normally clean em right after the heating season ends, but like I said, I was living elsewhere...I start contributing to the fund in April & wait til October to take delivery. Don't have indoor storage & I'd rather have em dry all summer in a storage facility. Too many crazy rainstorms in this neck of the woods during the humid months.

Bob, where do you get your pellets, again? You once said, but I forgot.
I got my first four tons for the uncompleted pellet boiler from Ace Hardware (Tremont)-$269 plus $25 delivery for all 4, Dry Creek.

Website seems to be down at the moment. More expensive, but choice and convenience? Are they cheaper than the hardware store?

I locked in at $269 with FREE delivery. Thetractor trailer can't get down Gundrum Point Rd without BACKING all the way out, so he forks them in & puts them where I want them. PLUS, I am able to pay in installments from Spring until I need them. Kinda relieves some of the pressure of a BIG cost when you buy 10 tons.

I've been lurking, but occasionally reply to a post on pellet installs. Time to get back into it...
Yeah...me too. Saw your post yesterday and that prompted me to get my stove ready last night after work. A bit early for me but what the heck, no time like the present. I should probably think about getting some pellets........40 bags isn't gonna cut it!!
