Penningtons, I don't know if they were holdover or what, but stove hates em. Bought four bags at Wally world and figured could use them in the biscuit cutter to cut the corn if need be. Can hardly keep the fire going blended with corn in the Harman and the temp gauges indicate lower fire. Will use em to cut the feed for the Bixby only. Tried now for the second time. I even had to pay tax!
wouldn't know about Corn although my P61A can burn them..

Any reccomendations on the best type of pellets to purchase for my stove ?

The pellet that I've had issues with on my P-43 was American Wood Fiber. They would bridge (build up) at the bottom of the hooper and would not feed into the auger. I would come home and the stove would be completely out. I knew it was a bridging problem because I would stir the pellets in the hopper and then would hear them falling into the auger.

I burn Country Boy and Somerset Pellets with no issues.

The inconcistancy of a pellet size seems to be the 1 problem with Auger Stove..
When I burn HD Stove Chows[ bagged by Energex] I had that happen couple times last year..

Perhaps it was a fines issue and the fines were creating a "plug "? You didn't mention that the pellets were long. I put some pellets that had once been damp in my hopper and the pellets broke down further into a lot of fines at the bottom of the hopper. Came home, stove was out. Put my hands in the pellets in the hopper and same thing, could hear pellets dropping into the auger.

With a Harman P Series, I don't think there is any Best pellet to burn.
with the Auger system u shouldn't have any problems burning pretty much anything..
it all boils down to Price, amount of ash, and heat..
I have burned HD Stove chows and Energex Hardwoods and aside from more ash, don't see much difference..
Try burning Infernos in your Harman.
