Dropped one tree about 17" DBH loaded my buddies long bed ranger. And filled most of my truck. Then went up the road and got the rest of an oak that was about 19-20" diameter rounds that I dropped last year. Those rounds were getting doaty where they were on the ground. Good heavy load! ] uploadfromtaptalk1410647986698.jpg

Nice load of rounds (thats how I bring em home) that should make a nice size pile split up. I split up 3/4 of a cord of cherry/ white oak mix last thursday an friday evening, sure wish oak would season as quick as the cherry but I guess its like fine wine, one of the best with time.

It do sent split very nice...especially since the main tree I dropped was a forked tree and the second trunk I cut up , that I dropped last year was forked as well. The second tree was around 20" at the fattest. We could not get the last like 6 rounds on a load last year but this time it was perfect to fill my load. The rest of the tree I cut and a small like 10" hickory went to my buddy.

That car port is the cats meow in my book, we sell the same brand at work and I have been wanting one for wood for a couple years now. I know the standard is 18x21x5ft on the side, now that you have it would you have changed anything like mabe a foot taller or such ?

Todd

I have a Carolina Carport. Their standard is 6ft sides. Now that I have it I would not go 5ft. My neighbors have a TNT or one of the other brands. For one there is no corner or top braces and the other is that they have 5 ft sides. Me being over 6ft I like the extra height.

I went to TNT to order. I saw that if you ordered online somehow thru them they would upgrade to 6ft free. I went to a dealer and they would not upgrade me. I told them I knew exactly what I wanted . They said the 6 ft one would be $50or$75 more. I said CCI its standard..they said not TNT. I asked if they could call and they said they dont upgrade. I said then why should I buy from you all when I can drive a few miles down the road and get what I want for the same price. They let me leave. I am happy I went with CCI!!!

I know the dealer only gets %10 I didnt mean for them to cut their commission just wanted the big company to play ball.

After I think about it I think TnT may have bracing the neighbors may be another knockoff like american carport or something?uploadfromtaptalk1410706184563.jpg

I'm gonna take this one down today or sometime this week. Post oak but it's in the white oak family. Top got knocked out of years ago and it's growing all weird. I need to get a little more sun to the yard so it's time to come down. Will be for 2016

Dont worry. I do that at work all the time. Send an email out and never attach the attachment. Needless to say I dont drive a computer all day so when I do send things I often forget them.

Yea about 15 around the house and 100 acres full of them. We cut 5 down close to the house a couple years ago that were 40-50" to try to get some grass to grow and for our safety. It was my grandparents place. Every time a storm came up they got worried to death. Hasn't been any grass here in 50 years but it's coming along now. This is the big white oak right beside the one I'm gonna cut. I'm fortunate I've got a lifetime supply of wood for my family. Oak, hickory, cherry and maple mainly

Your bike looks much better than mine. I have it hell in my younger days but it's still going

I got this one from a buddy 2 years or so ago. He got it from a guy in the city who probably got it from another city person. Think it was in a garage or shed its life.

I have it under a shed and cover it. I left the cover off several months this summer and I faded the seat tag a bit so I know it never saw the sun.

Its not as bad cause I only lived there for a year after college. Its not like I grew up there. Dad grew up on it and moved to the city , which is where i grew up. I always went there to play with my cousins and be with my grandparents cause I liked the country. I am a forester so I now live in the country basically. I only have an acre lot and live in a town...but very small town. Like 150 people
