Thank you in advance. I took a leap of faith based on some folks experiences documented here and picked up 4 tons ($930 total). Would appreciate all feedback. Hope everyone is having a good start to Fall.

Could you reveal where you bought the Somersets from? I would like to try them.

I burned 3 tons last year. Great pellet, on par with Bearfoot but not as long/no excessive crunching. Ashier than your DF's and Super Premium Softies but I would say they are one of the better if not best 100% hardwood pellet out there. I can't believe Lowes hasn't raised their price like they did with GT.

I love those pellets. I have a Harman p43 and it absolutely loves them. I burn them whenever I can. Being in upstate ny I can't get them anywhere. Prob the best burning cheaper pellet I have ever burned.

Boy I like the price, and from everyone's opinion I feel pretty good about the heating performance expected

Burned a ton 2 years ago. Got them at Lowe's for 199. Best pellet I have ever burned. Unfortunately no one has carried them locally since.

These are great pellets. Could not get them this year so had to order a tractor trailer load this year to get my fix. I have my stash for the 2014-2015 winter and 2015-2016 winter. 3 tons moved inside by stove have to move 2 more tons to be set for winter. 6 tons stashed for 15-16 winter. cost was 235 a ton

Hello rhody & olive.

I have a group that would like to know, for the price of several different brands.
thanks for the help

Hello Rhody:
Have you heard what the cost for a truck load of pellets per loaded mile is?
Thanks

Thanks to "Rhody", I have 3 tons of these "Sets" stashed for this winter. There are at least 12 tons at the Tractor Supply Store in Coventry, RI. Best pellet I have ever burned and it will be fun to burn these all season long.

That sounds damn good compared to the price per ton on Barefoot which were my first pellet last year.

I plan on keeping a log this season on temps, refilling, bags per week/ month etc. I'll keep you all posted. Have a good week.

Whats the price they only doing full tons?

$240 per ton last time I was there. Per bag is higher. If my memory is right that was with a $10 discount for the ton, I think they're 4.98 per bag. Call them to confirm.

Rhody I sent you a PM

Somersets are a pretty good pellet, I still prefer my Barefoots and Okies though.

I love them. Got 4 tons sitting in the garage.

I picked them up at TSC in Coventry, RI. They're gone, but I've also heard of them available at Lowes in Mass lately. Good luck!
