I just cleaned my stove pipe and had to slide the baffles out of my Regency stove. As I am sliding one of the baffles out I realized it was cracked in half. The two pieces fit snug against each other as if its not noticable. Is this safe to operate this way or do I have to replace the one baffle?

Straighten out a few paper clips. Push half of each into one piece of the board and then push them together. Should fix it.
wait its a regency sorry i was thinking quad with the fiber baffle. You could use a little furnace cement in the crack to seal it i have done that before

I believe regency has a lifetime baffle replacement warranty. You might wanna check your manual or call your local regency dealer.

And in the manual it says it isn't covered if it is over fired or abused . How old is the stove tumm? You might get it replaced if it is cracked and not burnt out

Regency never ask me for the old ones or proof that I didn't over fire. Give it a shot...if you are the original owner it's never a waste to ask.
We have replaced a few under warrantee regency usually asks for a pic and what we think. If it looks like a stress crack from a defect i am sure they will replace it if it looks like you dropped it probably not.

Like the OP indicated. As he was sliding out the baffle....he noticed it crack. I'd say your under warranty. Good luck!

As an aside, my Englander baffle is two pieces by design. A crack isnt a big deal but a hole is bad.
