Well I spent about 6 hours cleaning our baby and I think we are all set for the coming winter. I stacked 2 1/4 ton of the Okies gold in the cellar. The dinosaur burner is 3/4 full so we should be good to go.A little cool In the morning here In Plaistow and I was almost tempted to light It off but It seams like Its 4 or 5 weeks to early. Wow 6 hours! I spent and hour and a half going through the whole thing and giving it a good shot of stove black on the inside. Looks nice, runs nice and fired it off last night for the first time...for the fun of it ;)

What happened to our SUMMER?? After the surprise foot of snow I decided to get off my rear end and do my pre winter cleaning. It was fairly clean because I did it in the spring but burnt it a few times on cool mornings. Chimney was not bad, ran the brush down it anyway. Seemed like we had a long winter last year so it is nice to have a clean stove and a few pallets of pellets in the barn. Good luck this year to all the pellet burners out there.

Last year we started burning October 23.With the way this year Is shaping up I don't think we will make It another 4 or 5 weeks .Crazy weather Last night In the forties and by Sunday It will be in the mid eighties

Where did you get the Oakies? and on anoter note I have that same battery backup unit on my stove.

What happened to our SUMMER??

We had 7 months of Winter followed by 3 months of Spring. Around here, summer showed up for 2 days Labor Day weekend. I don't think we even had an official heat wave
