Still $197/ton at Wal Mart in Ellsworth, ME.

HD increased from $209/ton to $239/ton! They price matched Wal Mart reluctantly but would not stand by their corperate 10% price match guarantee for the simple fact that they "Wouldn't make enough money". They did it last year... little irritated about the bait & switch for the policy they advertise!

If you got pellets for under 200 bucks, I wouldn't be too irritated..

I paid $177 last year since they honored it then! I don't like bait and switch practices especially with a large corporate company!! I'm much more understanding of hardships on a small mom and pop business.

Last year the HD pellets here in southern NH were 219 a ton. This year they are 239 a ton. If you were getting MWP for $177 or even $199 a ton I'd say that was a damn good deal. Nothing lasts forever though. Does Walmart deliver? I do not have the option of picking pellets up in person so I've been buying the majority of my pellets from a local hardware store. They sell MWP for $250/ton and a flat rate delivery charge of $10. Sometimes the per ton price is cheaper before you factor in delivery but more expensive after delivery. I ordered five tons of MWP from the local store and had them delivered. it was actually 15 bucks cheaper than buying the same pellets from HD when it was all said and done because HD delivery charge was much higher.

I'm taking some extra steps this year to make the home more energy efficient. We have a huge decorative window in the hallway at the front of the house on our second floor and a glass slider in the kitchen. The house is only 13 years old so the windows/doors are fairly decent but even the best windows/doors are sources of energy loss. last year I wanted to put the shrink wrap product around these two areas in our home as a little extra something but the wife said no. This year's going to be different though. She works every weekend so she's going to come home one Saturday and it's going to be installed already. Better to beg forgiveness.............

I bought 5 tons of mwp delivered straight from the mill to my home and placed right in my garage for $245 a ton. Defiantly worth it!

How far from the Mill do you live? that is not an option for those of us in NH and I believe they will not deliver to far away customers in Maine either. Most people often forget or don't realize what a big state Maine is, especially for this corner of the nation.

I live about 25 miles from the mill. I'm aware Maine is a big state!!!!! Not sure how far they will deliver since I never asked. They did tell me however they wait until they have multiple orders in my area before they deliver.

No they loaded with forklift no problems
I bought 2 tons from Walmart in Sanford at $ 210.00 but they would not load with forklift because of company policy. I guess they banged up a couple of customer's trucks so that is why they will only load by hand.

Claremont HD currently advertising at $219.
